It is
with great pleasure that i welcome you to
Good
Shepherd IHM.
The Genesis of Good Shepherd IHM owes to our
conviction of creating an institute of
excellence, committed to quality hotel
management through education, training and
research. Albeit a modest beginning Good
Shepherd IHM has already made a mark in the
field oh Hospitality education..
No wonder our students
bag one of the most desirable jobs in the
industry through campus interviews. We have an
excellent placement record as on date.
The
vision behind starting the institute was the
lack of career opportunities in the hills of
Darjeeling Dist. and adjoining areas. Hence for many years
I
worked upon the idea of trying to utilize all the experience and exposure i had gained in
the gained in the industry and hospitality
education to try and contribute in my own way by
staring a Hospitality and Catering Training
Institute in Kalimpong, which will offer
internationally recognized world class
hospitality education in association with
esteemed
American
Hotel and Lodging Association Educational
Institute, Orlando, U.S.A.
which
offers its courses in almost 1500 colleges world
wide in nearly 160 countries. We have upgraded
our courses and are now offering courses in affiliation
with IGNOU (NAAC acridited A++
University).
Our objective is to
provide
BEST
EDUCATION IN HOTEL INDUSTRY TO DESERVING LOCAL
STUDENTS AT AFFORDABLE FEES AND TO FURTHER GUIDE
THEM IN SECURING EMPLOYMENT IN INDIA AND ABROAD.
A true educational experience
should be intellectually challenging arid
exhilarating and inspiring. With significant
personal and professional growth. At Good
Shepherd IHM emphasis will be laid on developing
the overall personality of the students and
technical training. All academic and operational
staff is committed to our philosophy of
generating the right potential candidates for
the industry and on the other hand, train the
students in the right skills accordingly to the
requirement of the industry.
An Assured
Job,
Secured
Life,
Respected
Career,
Opportunity
for Growth,
International
Employment
Opportunities,
Lucrative
Pay
Packet
and Job
Satisfaction..........
if these are what a student looks for, training
in hospitality is the gateway to such a career.
But mind you, only "MOTIVATED",
"WELL EDUCATED", "RIGOROUSLY
TRAINED" individuals can meet the demands
of the hospitality industry. A successful host
must be competent in modern management practices
and understand the psychology of human
relations.
Hence I would like to welcome
you to be a part of the Shepherd Flock.
Best Regards,
ALVIN
