Established in the year 2002 The Good Shepherd IHM is the first of it’s kind Advanced Hospitality Training Institution in the hills of Darjeeling. Good Shepherd IHM is owned and managed by “Kalimpong Good Shepherd Educational Society” a non profit Charitable Society registered under W.B. Society Reg. Act 1961. Good Shepherd IHM has been primarily instituted to provide Job Oriented Hotel, Catering and Tourism Management courses. The Institute is committed to equip students to cope up with the daunting challenges in the industry. GSIHM is  located at East Main Road, Kalimpong at a salubrious surrounding which is conducive for education., and has several units including the “Lecture halls” and “Training Laboratory”, which include Restaurants, Mock Bar, Kitchens, Front Office, Guest Rooms, Library, Computer Lab, Audio Visual Lab with the latest equipments, Administrative Office, Stores, and Girls Hostel too. A new Multi storied, multi facility annex Centre is on the pipeline.  

GSIHM is amongst the select few ivy league colleges in the country having it's own Resort the "  The Club Royale Banquet & Resort " at B.L.Dixit Road Kalimpong, spread across two acres of serene well manicured garden and beautiful landscaping . Live day to day situational training is an integral part of Hospitality training hence our resort having all these facilities adds on to our training facility, Club Royale is the most popular Banqueting venue at Kalimpong focusing on MICE business, we also have Lounge Sports Bar, Karaoke Restaurant, Beer Garden, Pool side BBQ, 2 Swimming Pools, Spa, Health Club, Cricket nets, Volleyball court, Badminton, Table Tennis, Rooms, Room Service, Travel Desk, ample Car park only to name a few.
